[Ideas] More story cubes generated quests

Let's generate more quests with story cubes!

After rolling, I give to each result a meaning that could be relevant in the context of a fantasy quest. Then, I try to put all of the elements together and to get a quest (related post here).

1) The angry spirit Result of the first roll:

  • Hot-air balloon (air, high altitude),

  • Cloud and rain (weather),

  • Car (speed),

  • Paw prints (prints),

  • Unhappy face (anger),

  • Flower (flower, nature).

Generated quest: Thunder and rain are ravaging the country as a spirit, who was angered by a wizard, has come down from its lair in the mountains. It is so fast that no one has ever clearly seen it. However, it leaves a trail of flowers wherever it goes.

2) The god child Result of the second roll:

  • Ladder (rise, power),

  • Whale (legendary creature, god),

  • Heart (love, interest),

  • Bicycle (fetch),

  • Letter (message, news),

  • Telephone (word of mouth, rumor).

Generated quest: Rumors say that a god sent a letter to adventurers all accross the country, promising to give incredible powers to whoever would bring back their mortal offspring who was kidnapped.

3) The witche's revenge Result of the third roll:

  • Clock (time, urge),

  • Crying face (sadness, despair),

  • Pen (symbol, sign),

  • Poop (dirt, filth),

  • Hot drink cup (comfort, warmth),

  • BANG sound (explosion, surprise).

Generated quest: While people think they can finally enjoy peace in their village as war ended, a witch whose sisters were wrongly accused of treachery and killed is preparing her revenge. If nobody stops her before midnight, a dirt golem she created and covered in protective symbols will attack the village and explode when touched by sunlight.

In a future post, I will summarize the result of these little experiments, providing meanings for each dice result in a table.
